Jay was born and raised in Austin, Texas. At a young age, he fell victim to its streets and encountered some personal struggles. After serving a 16-month sentence in prison and discovering his purpose in life, Jay set out to make a positive change in himself and the Austin community. He wrote his first song in his freshman year of high school, and, for the last 16 years, is once again writing music but now to the glory of Christ.
